Bothnian Arc's activities and goals were presented to the representatives of City Executive Boards and municipal officials of Luleå and Oulu in Luleå at the end of February.
City Executive Board of Oulu visited Luleå to get more information of the green transition going on in Norrbotten. Representatives of Oulu City Executive Board visited also Luleå University of Technology, Luleå's new fire station and Hybrit Development.
During the visit, Nataliia Hammarberg, Anne Rännäli-Kontturi and Katja Koskinen presented Bothnian Arc as an association and a border committee, the activities of it and the ongoing projects.
Cities of Oulu and Luleå have a cooperation agreement between the cities, which is largely aimed at strengthening the region in the long term. Cooperation within Bothnian Arc is an important for both cities as well as working together for the best of the whole region. But even more now, after the pandemic, something that all participants could probably agree to is the importance of human contact in cross-border cooperation
