Annual meeting of Bothnian Arc in Kalix
Bothnian Arc had it's annual meeting in Kalix at the end of April. Mikael Engren from the municipality of Kalix welcomed us all to Kalix. The annual meeting approved the financial statements for 2022 and a new strategy for the association. In the meeting Daniel Smirat was elected to continue as a chair and Ari Heikkinen as a vice chair.
After the meeting we heard a presentation about our host municipality Kalix. Liisa Ansala from Lapland Chamber of Commerce told us about the report “Setting the steps for accelerating the green transition in the Northern Region”.
Our visit ended with a tour of the Billerud paper mill. Thank you Kalix for your hospitality!
